Nikolai Kirche

The church was the center point of the old square near the harbor.

The new Rathaus was located about a half mile inland from the old square.

The New Gate is quite extensive and ornate.

Recognizes the right of an individual to conscientiously object to war, and to those who paid the price for their stand.

Catholic Church of Sts. Peter and Paul

The church stands at the opposite end of the road to the palace from the Brandenburg Gate.

Brandenburg Gate

obelisk gate on the east entrance to the central avenue of the park

The obelisk was commissioned by Frederick the Great in 1747 as an exit from the palace. The hieroglyph as fanciful since no translation existed in the 18th century.

New Palace

The New Palace is at the oposite end of the avenue from the obelisk gate.

Chinese House

This house is situated in the woods between the two main palaces.

Orangerie Palace

The Orangerie Palace and elegant gardens.

Kammern

The building is in the classic style.

Frieden Church

The chapel sits along side a picturesque pond.

Triumphtor

The gate to Winzerberg -- the vineyard on the hill.
